Dividend Portfolio changes, @sharebuilder update

Lots to cover here;

I have abandoned screening on dividend.com for high-yield stocks with monthly and quarterly payouts. It has been replaced with screening on barchart.com and finviz.com as I believe both of those sites’ screeners better represent stocks with my goals in mind (high dividend yield and capital appreciation).

Here is the current list of stocks screened from each site;

barchart.com: BKCC FULL IVR MFA TICC TWO

finviz.com: ARI CMO MCC MFA RSO TCRD TWO

It should be noted that the above lists change quite frequently, perhaps even more than once per day.

Then, I run those lists against my charts (1 year weekly and 3 month daily) and plot them on the spreadsheets. I have also included the ex-dividend dates from dividend.com on the spreadsheets. One might argue that if an ex-dividend date is approaching it might be advisable to ‘get heavy’ in a particular stock so as to capture as much dividend as possible.

I look for “buy signals” on the 3 month daily charts, and eliminate any stocks from the ‘buy list’ that are not showing “buy signals”. “Buy Signals” also change frequently…

Here are stocks from the watch lists with “buy signals”;

barchart.com: BKCC FULL IVR TICC TWO

finviz.com: ARI CMO MFA RSO TCRD TWO

NOTE: MFA is on both watch lists, but when I looked at the charts it changed while I was switching between symbol lists. It is now going back and forth, so I will omit it from my “buy list” this week. MCC (on finviz.com watch list) is also fluctuating, so it shall also be omitted this week.

I try to have all of this ready well before the #sharebuilder update, which is today @ 5PM because of the Labor Day Holiday on September 3rd. Usually, the update is ready sometime after Noon-ish.

Here is the current list of stocks I am buying with my Sharebuilder AIP;

ARI BKCC CMO FULL IVR RSO TCRD TICC TWO

I am going ‘heavy’ with stocks that have ex-dividend dates in the near future.
